Autumn is upon us. The mornings are cool, we’ve broken out the jackets, and the blackberry lilies (Iris domestica) are finally showing their seed arrangement. These plants are scattered throughout various flowerbeds because we love the flowers, followed by the interesting seed heads.
Cucumbers & Patty Pan Squash
The cucumbers and patty pan squashes are finished. They will return next year.
Beans
Beans are experiencing a brief revival. But they are close to being done.
Miniature White Pumpkins

Let’s talk about what’s upcoming. Yes, miniature white pumpkins have been harvested. These are small, weighing between .25 and .50 pounds. We have 2 slightly larger miniature pumpkins that are still maturing on the vine. They will be harvested in the next few weeks. Keep these in mind when planning.
Radicchio

We have a few heads of a super early radicchio almost ready for harvesting. I will make a note to plant these seeds later by two weeks next year as we are not ready for radicchio yet. We are straining to hold on to summer produce as long as possible.
Peppers & Tomatoes
Peppers are still producing, but slower and in lesser amounts. Tomatoes are in the same boat, slower and in lesser amounts.
Fall Cauliflower & Overwintered Broccoli

The fall cauliflower and overwintered broccoli are looking really good. They love these cooler days and nights. We will keep you posted as we get closer to harvest time.
Come on out to the garden to see what else we have growing!
