Chefs Garden Gypsy Peppers

The Garden is teetering on the brink of a plentiful harvest. The heavily laden Gypsy peppers in the photo will soon be ready for harvesting. They are the best bell-type peppers in our area, reliable and abundant producers.

We harvest Padron and shishito peppers twice a week. Each harvest is slightly larger than the previous one.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are starting to appear. We harvest once a week. Give them another couple weeks before you go crazy with putting them everywhere on the menu.

Eggplant

If you need eggplant, we could harvest some. The eggplant is quite good at hiding its fruit, so we are surprised when we poke around in the leaves to find a ready harvest!

Micro-Greens

Micro-greens are holding steady. We have all the warm-season varieties and cool-season plants growing each week.

Basil

We have several varieties of basil besides this purple-leaf variety. We have the standard Genovese type, pianissimo or tiny-leaf basil, Thai basil, holy or sacred basil, and lemon basil. We harvest the Genovese type regularly.

Let us know when you would like any of the others.

Zucchini

Zucchini is surging forward, making its bid for garden domination. Even the smaller plants are in on the act. We are harvesting daily and still finding some that escape our scrutiny! Patty Pan Squash has joined forces with Zucchini in the garden takeover.

We are also harvesting it daily.

Beans

We have flowers on the yellow and purple beans! Those are two different varieties, not one variegated yellow and purple variety!

Melons & Butternut Squash

There are tiny melons and butternut squashes on the vine.

Plums

We can harvest more plums when you want them.

In the meantime, come to the Garden to see what else we have growing.
