Here’s yet another winter sunrise picture for you. We’ve gained 12 minutes of daylight since December 21. Today our first light was 7:18, with the official sunrise at 7:51. The days are getting longer!!
We had an exciting week. When I looked at the thermometer, the micro-greens had slowed to sloth speed. It read 50 degrees. I put another thermometer in to verify that the first thermometer wasn’t broken. It wasn’t. We spent Monday replacing the heating cable in the table where we start all the micros. Since returning it, the micros have perked up, and germination is normal. We have plenty of micro greens. The arugula is finally large enough for harvesting. We will harvest regularly.
We will have frills mustard in another week or so.
Purple sprouting broccoli is still not quite ready.
We still have a good supply of large winter squash and sweet potatoes. Let us know when you need more.
Hidden underground is this year’s crop of sun-chokes. Let us know when you want some.
Come on out to the Garden to see what else we have growing.
