The kitchen is soon to be the scene of massive harvests of everything.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes are picking up. Soon, we will need a separate speed rack to store them.
Peppers

The Patrons and Shishito peppers are producing well. Warning: we have a lot more to harvest.
As usual, the Gypsy peppers are loaded. We can start harvesting them at any time. Just let us know when you are ready. As you can see, there are more peppers than there are leaves.
Lettuce
We were between lettuce plantings this past week. This coming week, we will return to our regularly scheduled lettuce harvest.
Zucchini & Patty Pan Squashes

The zucchini and patty pan squashes are prolific. Even the cat is amazed at the amount harvested each day. We are beginning to see a backlog in the kitchen. It’s time to dream up more ways to use up the bounty.
Cucumbers
The cucumber harvest has exploded this week. From a dainty few last week, there are now full harvest tubs. The pickling season has arrived with a vengeance.
Beans
The beans are about to mature. Yes, we reduced the number of beans we planted, but they are still productive plants.
We will have a decent-sized harvest this coming week.
Honey Bees & Squash Blossoms

As you can see from the photo, four bees are getting nectar and pollen from this squash blossom. If you want squash blossoms any time, let us know. We do not pick them otherwise.
Our annual honey harvest was this past week, and we were pleased with the results.
Now, we will focus on preparing the bees for wintering.
Come on out to see Garden Life.
