The Willamette Valley’s rich alluvial soils provide the foundation for a productive and prosperous agricultural community. The health that springs from this fertile valley stretches from robust vineyards to vibrant dairy farms. This abundance provides the community and visitors with heavenly wines and nurturing farm-to-table dishes.
The farm-to-table movement has inspired the local producers of handmade artisan cheese to produce a variety of cheeses that range from feta to chèvre. One of the award-winning producers of cheese in the Dundee area is Briar Rose Creamery. Briar Rose is a small, artisan cheese maker that practices the time-honored traditions and makes cheeses that are distinctly delicious and current.
In our video, we start at the Jory Restaurant with a brief look at the dessert menu and the featured “Pacific Northwest Cheese Board”. Next, we quickly travel down the valley a few miles to Dundee and then up the hill to the Briar Rose Creamery where many of the cheeses featured at the Jory are produced. The video shows the meticulous care that the team at Brian Rose put into every batch of cheese.
