We are proud to share that our Executive Chef, Jack Strong, has been named a semifinalist in the 2026 James Beard Awards for Best Chef: Northwest & Pacific.

Chef Jack is one of just 20 semifinalists across Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington, and one of five chefs representing Oregon – a particularly meaningful honor as this region is where his culinary roots are grounded.
Presented by the James Beard Foundation, the awards are among the highest honors in American cuisine, celebrating excellence, leadership and a commitment to “Good Food for Good®.” Chef Jack’s work reflects this mission through a deep sense of place, cultural grounding, and an unwavering dedication to his team, our guests and the community.
As a member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, Chef Jack brings a thoughtful, story-driven approach to our garden-to-table culinary program, bringing the Willamette Valley’s seasonal bounty – and our onsite Chef’s Garden – to life through nourishing, expressive cuisine. His leadership, humility and commitment to collaboration continue to shape our culinary vision.
We are honored to celebrate this recognition with Chef Jack and look forward to what’s ahead as the awards season continues.
