The Allison Inn And Spa

romantic wine country weekend

For a cozy weekend getaway, The Allison Inn & Spa is the perfect home base in the heart of Willamette Valley Wine Country. Our deluxe king rooms on the spa level offer a quiet, sheltered view of the garden and easy access to the spa. After a restorative night’s sleep slip down to the spa and into the steam room or sauna for a gentle wake up call. Then have in room dining deliver Jory’s Dungeness crab eggs benedict for a decadent breakfast treat.

Once you’re fully awake, head out to a local winery to sample the region’s finest Pinot noirs, Chardonnays and sparkling wines. First stop: a view of the valley above the fog line. Head to Penner-Ash Wine Cellars where you can enjoy your tasting fireside, and peek into the cellar from the wall of windows in the tasting room. From there, pop into the town of Carlton for sandwiches at The Horse Radish, or on the weekends you can enjoy the tuna tartare at Earth & Sea. Just down the street catch a glimpse of some local history at Flâneur Wines’ newly finished tasting room. Their location in the restored Madsen Grain elevator claims the title of tallest building in town, but offers tufted leather seating and a library wall of wine focused titles to explore.

Later in the afternoon, head back to the spa to warm up with the Hot Oil Herbal Wrapsody. The wrap detoxifies and hydrates stressed winter skin, and light massage will soothe you into ultimate relaxation. Take your time wandering up from the spa, since Jory is just steps away for dinner. If you’re feeling like a lighter meal, cozy up by the living room fireplace for a snack and a nightcap. For those with more of an appetite, let Chef steer the evening with his 4-course tasting menu featuring ingredients from the on-site Chef’s garden. Our sommelier curates new pairings for each night’s menu, or is happy to help you select one of the hidden gems off the wine list. End the evening with a spa bath drawn for you in your 6 foot soaking tub, and cozy up by the fireplace for a romantic finale to the weekend.
