ABOUT FORSYTHIA |  Forsythia x intermedia is a cross between Forsythia viridissima and Forsythia suspensa var. fortunei in Germany.

This deciduous shrub grows 8-10 feet tall and 8-12 feet wide if left unpruned. Prune in spring after flowering so buds for next year have time to develop.

Plant in a sunny location for maximum flower production. Performs well in any soil type.

Forsythia heralds spring, blooming about the same time as daffodils and about a month after
witch hazel.
