Bounty of the Willamette is a complimentary tasting series offered at The Allison Inn & Spa. Stop by our Living Room on Thursdays between 3:30-5:30 p.m. to sample featured Willamette Valley wines, beers or spirits, and meet knowledgeable experts from each winery, brewery or distillery.
About The Winery
We planted the first vines around the old brick house in the sunny spring of 1990. Pinot Noir first, then Chardonnay and Gamay Noir. Every vine was planted with a commitment that was rare in the Willamette Valley at the time: Brick House was to be a certified organic farm. By 2005, we had achieved Demeter Biodynamic certification. Today, our southeast facing slopes on Ribbon Ridge host 45,000 vines, producing lovely fruit for estate-grown wines. At Brick House, the pledge to farm ‘in harmony with Mother Nature’ remains our lodestar…a covenant with our land.
Happy farmers choose surrender. They live comfortably with the knowledge that no matter what powers they have at hand, no matter what tools, no matter their resolve Mother Nature will prevail in her way at the end of the day. And given this truth, happy farmers choose to work alongside her. Instead of struggle, they marvel at the infinite complexity of her realm.
