Coming from a background in abstract expressionist painting\, James Frey became a winemaker. Merging the spirit of both activities\, his work reflects its origins and environment. The Frey family would farm to preserve the natural habitat surrounding each vineyard and employ minimal intervention winemaking to ensure each bottle distinctly conveyed both site and vintage.

The experience inspired him to leave a successful career in the trucking industry and pursue music full-time. After taking the leap of faith in the ’90s\, he formed the Norman Sylvester Band and became a staple of the Portland blues scene. Since then\, he has performed more than 4\,000 shows throughout the Northwest. \nLenanne Sylvester-Miller has enjoyed a successful career as a professional vocalist and actor\, and has performed alongside her father full-time for the past seven years. Together\, they deliver an energetic blend of blues\, soul and timeless favorites that has delighted audiences across the region. \nBring a blanket\, gather with friends and family\, and join us for a memorable summer evening in Oregon wine country.
